AISA Curriculum
At the American International School of Algiers (AISA), we are committed to providing a rigorous, well-rounded, and future-focused education. Our curriculum is rooted in the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) standards and the U.S. Common Core State Standards, which serve as the foundation for academic excellence and consistency across grade levels. These frameworks ensure that our students receive a high-quality education that is aligned with international benchmarks, while also preparing them for success in both American and global higher education systems. Every AISA student works with U.S.-licensed teachers who ensure that learning meets the highest American educational standards.
To further strengthen our academic program, AISA has a dedicated Curriculum Coordinator who oversees the alignment, development, and implementation of the curriculum across all grade levels. She ensures that instruction remains cohesive, innovative, and responsive to student needs. In addition to this key role, she also serves as our Special Needs Coordinator, supporting students who require differentiated learning strategies and ensuring that every child has equitable access to success.
We believe that learning should be meaningful, engaging, and connected to the real world. That’s why we integrate Project-Based Learning (PBL) throughout our curriculum. By exploring authentic, hands-on projects, students learn to collaborate, think critically, and apply their knowledge to solve real-life challenges. This approach not only deepens academic understanding but also nurtures creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Equally important is our focus on the social and emotional well-being of every student. We recognize that academic success is closely tied to personal growth, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Through dedicated programs and classroom practices, we foster self-awareness, empathy, and positive relationships, empowering our students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
At AISA, the curriculum is more than just a set of standards—it is a holistic journey that balances intellectual rigor with creativity, compassion, and global citizenship.
